Parents

A parent library is available at Barnier Public School.

We have a number of titles containing information about raising children (of all ages), discipline matters as well as different learning styles.

The link below is a site that was featured in the Sydney Morning Herald about parenting.

Information Skills are necessary tools when researching topics and solving information problems. Students will learn how to research effectively.

Information skills are relevant in student education from as early as Kindergarten. These skills will be developed over the years so that students are able to effectively research when they are in high school and with their further education.

At Barnier we believe that if students are not learning for the now and the future then there is no relevance in teaching the content. Educating students with information skills they will be putting their knowledge into action immediately and then will be well-equipped during their adulthood.

The library program encompasses these skills to better equip students when needing to research, record and present their information. Click on the link below to view the Information outcomes set by the Department of Education & Training.
