Information Skills are
necessary tools when researching topics and
solving information
problems. Students will learn how to research
effectively.
Information skills are relevant in student
education from as early as Kindergarten. These skills
will be developed over the years so that students are able
to effectively research when they are in high school and
with their further education.
At Barnier we believe that if students
are not learning for the now and the future then there
is no relevance in teaching the content. Educating students
with information skills they will be putting their
knowledge into action
immediately and then will be well-equipped during their
adulthood.
The library
program encompasses these skills to better equip students
when needing
to research, record and present their information.
