Barnier Public School currently
has over 100 students in its garden club. Students volunteer
to give up their own time to learn about the environment
and healthy eating practices. Currently students are composting
their own food scraps and they also use their food scraps
in the numerous worm farms across the school.
Currently students have planted an abundance of vegetables
and fruit trees in the schools vegetable garden and fruit
orchard. Students are currently seed-raising seeds and
growing plants using propagation techniques in the
schools greenhouse
and hothouse.
Barnier is proud to have the support of Blacktown City
Council, Plantmark, Yates and Reln and we appreciate
their contribution to the
school.
